When I was working on my Chemical Engineering degree, a slide rule was a required tool for calculations. You couldn’t survive the Engineering program without mastering the instrument. In order to use the campus computer, you had to “punch” a stack of cards with program and data. The cards were delivered to the computer room so that the operators could run your project. Often you learned that one “punching” error had caused failure.
When I returned to Grad School to work on an MBA, hand held calculators were required. My first calculator cost $100 and could add, subtract, multiply and divide!
Through the years, calculators have gotten smaller, faster, cheaper and much more sophisticated. Computers have gone from Central Computers, to Desktops, to PC’s, to LAN’s, to Laptops. Now all of these are connected through the Internet.
At West Michigan Mortgage Help we have kept up with the latest advances, but promise never to loose the personal touch. We continue to be committed to building strong life-long relationships one person at a time.
